Review Policy

If you are a publisher or an author and would like me to review one of your novels, you can contact me (yastheword@yahoo.co.uk). My reviews are honest and this means if I do not enjoy the book I will say so. My values as a book blogger are not compromised by the acceptance of a gifted book. *** Due to the number of books on my reading list I am not accepting books from authors at present***

If I request a book, then I guarantee to read the book, and post a review about it - unless I didn't finish the book.
If you send me a book to review, I will do my best to read it and review it, but cannot guarantee I will review it, as it could end up not being to my taste at all.
I review young adult fiction, and my preference is for science fiction foremost, I love fantasy too, and pick up contemporary novels from time to time.

Once I've reviewed a book on YA's the Word, I will post it to Goodreads and Amazon, and link to my post from Twitter.

If you'd like me to, I enjoy hosting interviews, guest-posts, and giveaways. I do need ample time to read a book before interviewing an author.

If you have a preference for when a review should be posted, please make this apparent.

My reviews include:

1. Image and blurb of the book (sourced from Goodreads)
2. What I liked or disliked - I'm always honest
3. Any publicity information about blogtours and upcoming events, as provided.

Disclosure: Several of the books I receive for review are provided by the publisher or the author, and I will mention them within the blogpost when this is the case. I do not accept/receive monetary compensation for my reviews.
